What to Expect When You Bring Your Group to Sip and Wonder

Last weekend we welcomed a few groups through our doors, including a hen do, a work team and a family reunion, so we thought it was the perfect time to share what a group visit at Sip and Wonder really looks like. If you're the one organising the outing in Alicante, this one is for you.

What a group visit at Sip and Wonder looks like

Sip and Wonder is our coffee shop and brunch spot by day (Thursday to Monday 9:30 to 16:00), and in the evening it becomes our wine bar, SIP De Nuits (Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 19:00 to 23:00). So whether your group fancies a long brunch or a relaxed night with wine and dishes, we can host you, and we settle you in slightly differently for each.

For large brunch groups, we set up a long table so everyone can sit together, and take coffee orders as soon as you're settled. In the evening, we'll talk you through the wine list and suggest dishes to share across the table before you order your mains.

Last weekend gave us a good example of both. The hen do started with a bottle of cava and worked their way through some breakfast sharing plates, while the work team came straight from the office and stayed until close! The family reunion arrived for brunch at 10:00 and decided to take coffee and cake as well.

Here are the questions organisers ask us most.

How big can our group be?
Bigger than you might think. For a regular visit, we're happy to host groups of up to 15 people. If you'd like the whole place to yourselves, private hire holds up to 50 seated or 60 to 80 standing. Not sure which suits you? Tell us roughly how many are coming and we'll work it out together.

How do we book?
Whichever way suits you best. You can book through our website, or get in touch via social 

Either way, let us know the date, how many of you there are and what the occasion is, so we can set things up properly.

What if we want the whole place to ourselves?
That's possible too. If you'd like to book Sip and Wonder just for your group, we'll talk it through with you, from the date and the numbers to food, drinks and any group packages or pricing options that suit your budget.

How far ahead should we plan?
For smaller groups, a week is usually plenty. For larger groups or weekends, two to three weeks is safer. If it's a last-minute plan, ask anyway, because we'll always tell you honestly what we can do.
