SIP Sourdough Bread – Handmade Daily in Alicante (Pre-Order)
You’ve probably caught the smell before — that warm, golden aroma drifting through the streets near the Central Market.
That’s SIP Sourdough Bread.
Our 1-kilo loaf is made entirely by hand in our café kitchen, using 100% natural sourdough and long fermentation for depth, chew, and that perfect crust. It’s the same bread we serve daily — now available to pre-order and take home fresh from the oven.
Reserve your loaf for next-day pickup, or order multiple loaves with at least 3 days’ notice so we can bake them just for you and ensure you have them when you need.
Our Process
Each loaf of SIP Sourdough Bread is made by hand right here in our kitchen at Sip and Wonder, Carrer Poeta Campos Vasallo, 8 — just a few steps from the Central Market.
We use a long, natural fermentation process of 24–36 hours to develop that deep, slightly tangy flavour and signature chewy texture. No shortcuts, no commercial yeast — just flour, water, and salt brought to life by our own wild sourdough starter.
Ingredients
100% natural ingredients:
Organic wheat flour
Filtered water
Sea salt
Our fantastic sourdough starter (no additives or preservatives)
Our loaves are vegan-friendly and baked fresh every morning in small batches.
How to Pre-Order
You can reserve your 1-kilo sourdough loaf for next-day pickup — simply order before 10:00 a.m. and collect it fresh from the oven the next day.
Are you a sourdough lover and need 2+ loaves? Please place your order at least 3 days in advance so we can schedule your bake into our fermentation cycle.
Pickup Location
📍 Sip and Wonder Café
Carrer Poeta Campos Vasallo, 8, 03004 Alacant, Alicante
(Just by Mercado Central — you’ll probably smell the bread before you see us.)
Storage & Serving Tips
Best enjoyed fresh on the day of baking.
To keep your loaf longer, wrap it in a tea towel or paper bag at room temperature for up to 2 days.
For longer storage, slice and freeze; toast directly from frozen for that warm, crusty finish.
Why Locals Love It
Our sourdough isn’t just bread — it’s part of the daily rhythm of Alicante. Many locals say they first discovered us by the smell drifting through the market streets. It’s the same loaf we serve at brunch — crusty on the outside, soft and complex inside, baked with care every single morning.
